Coiste na dTuistí Scoil na gCeithre Máistrí

The role of the Parents’ Association:

To work in partnership with the Principal, Board of Management and the whole school community for the betterment of the children in the school.

To support and empower parents to be active in the best interests of their children’s educational lives.

Coiste na dTuistí Scoil na gCeithre Máistrí is a member of National Parents’ Council Primary.

AGM is held in September and Committee Meetings are held every 4 to 6 weeks. Invites to all meetings are sent to the whole school via Aladdin.

·       Siúlóid Scoile / School Sponsored Walk in conjunction with Active School Week

·       An Chéad Chomaoineach / Communion Party in Halla after Mass

June

·       Lá Spóirt – helping with races and picnic for children – hotdogs & ice cream.

·       Junior Infants orientation morning – refreshments

·       Sixth Class Graduation – provide refreshments & individually named cupcakes for each student

Previous Support Throughout the Year

  • Organising training from NPC for Parents’ Association
  • Publicising online courses via Aladdin from NPC, Barnardos, Triple P on parenting, internet safety, bullying, transition to secondary school
  • Ranganna Gaeilge – Beginner Irish classes for parents
  • Onsite Internet Safety Talk for parents
  • Fruity Fridays – encourage pupils to try new fruits
  • Review of school policies such as Healthy Eating, Bullying,
  • Information Stand in school on days of Parent Teacher meetings and suggestion box for parents to suggest new ideas
  • Surveyed parents about their child’s experiences of remote learning and provided a report to the school.
  • French & German language classes for 6th Class
